I am truly thankful for the wonderful staff at Mowell's Funeral Home. Their attention to detail and helpfulness were both outstanding in coordinating services for my mom. The staff at Mowell's was so kind to me and my family at a time when we needed caring people working with us. Clint Gilpin was more than helpful throughout the process. He was truly interested in making everything meaningful that we wanted to do in honoring the memory of my husband. He is an asset to your staff. In addition, we are also thankful for your staff in the front office. They are so helpful while being attentive to the family's needs and requests. I felt blessed because of their kindness. Mowell's is a wonderful family business. We had used you before in 2010 for another loved one's funeral. Both experiences were special and I thank you for the kindness and compassion of the people you chose to help us.

Recently our family was faced with the sudden and undesirable task of planning for a funeral and cremation of a dear family member, our 45 year old son, who was also a brother, uncle, cousin, co-worker and friend to many. We have lived in Fayette County Georgia for 43 years so it was natural that we would choose Mowells Funeral Home and Cremation Service, whom we've been acquainted with for the entire time we have lived here. We were met with an outstanding team of personnel at Mowells Funeral Home that were eager to assist us, and patient in as much as it took several days and trips to their office to thoroughly cover the plans, which included a memorial service three weeks later. Their team handled all of the legal issues involved with another county where he had passed away, met with us several different times to work out the details and conduct the memorial service which was a 4 hour event. Mr. David Mowell took a hands on approach throughout the process. We have nothing less than great praise for their entire staff.

I am so grateful to the wonderful people at Mowell's Funeral Home. They have handled many arrangements for members of my family in the past and most recently for my precious son. The words have not been invented, do not exist, and have never been spoken by man in the history of the world that describe the pain and suffering of hearing the news that your child died especially during the Covid crises which limited the ability to plan a normal service. The fantastic staff at Mowell's helped ease the difficulties and assisted us step by step which at times became overwhelming for us to even think about and face the reality of what we were doing. They provided us with empathy, compassion, friendship, support, respect, courtesy and had complete patience and understanding with the many changes that we made throughout the planning. It helped that we were able to place so many pictures and so many of our son's items around the rooms they provided. They even helped set up and tear down. They are a great team that works together and strives to offer the best services available during difficult times. They are a true family serving other families and our family appreciates all the effort they made to ease our pain so that we could focus on what needed to be done. They definitely went above and beyond in every way possible.

Many thanks to Bryan Folsom and the entire staff at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ga.for handling the arrangements for my mother, Patricia Cannington. Our arrangements were a little complicated as mom died in Georgia but was to be transferred to a funeral home in Jacksonville, Fl. for services and then from there taken to Tampa for burial. Bryan did all the coordinating with the other funeral home and the cemetery. Everything went smoothly. Our family could not have been more pleased. Thank you Bryan for all you did for our mom, she would have been pleased!!!

My family and I wish to express our gratitude for the professionalism and support given to us by your staff in planning the funeral arrangements and service for my sister, Edris Ayers. Our initial meeting was with Tommy Spain who was waiting at the open door to greet us. He was comforting and patient as he explained the services provided. His demeanor and tone of his voice was very welcoming, it made me realized that Mowell Funeral Home was the best place for my sister and I had made the right choice. Tommy also offered his assistance in obtaining a Minister and organist to officiate at the services since I came in from another state and had no connections. I am very grateful . Thank you. I wanted to let you know how pleased we were with my Mom’s service. From the very beginning Tommy Spain made us feel comfortable and at ease knowing Mom was in good care. He was always available if I had a question or problem and made a difficult time much more tolerable! He also had Mom looking beautiful! I will be referring friends and family to you! Thank you!!

On behalf of the family of Elsie Caban, I wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of the Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home at the Fayetteville location, for the incredible professionalism, care, and patience that was extended to our family during this very difficult time. I especially wish to thank and commend Mr. Tommy Spain for the incredible job that he did. His never ending guidance and patience, always assuring us that everything would be fine, will forever be appreciated and remembered. His care and expert preparation of our mother far exceeded all our expectations and for that we could not thank him enough. I also wish to thank the Fayetteville Police Department for the wonderful escort that was extended to our procession which is a reflection of the rapport Carl J Mowell & Son has with the department. Again, Thank You for your service. It will never be forgotten and always recommended.

Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. They walked me through all my choices. They were respectful of all my wishes and kept me informed on every step of the process. This is a very stressful time and they made it as easy as possible. I had complete trust in them. Everyone who attended the service commented on how nice the facility was, how nicely the viewing room was arranged with flowers and pictures, and how kind the entire staff was. You won’t be disappointed with the care of your loved one. No regrets.

It is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with Mowell Funeral Home. I have been a musician for them for many years. But more importantly, I have had them in my life when life throws those circumstances that are out of our control, such as losing a loved one. They are – and when I say ‘they’ the entire staff are the most caring people I have ever known. They do their very best to meet and carry out the families’ desire for their loved ones. Services are planned and orchestrated in the most professional and loving way possible. From the girls in the front office to the guys hosting for the funeral home—wonderful staff, wonderful company, providing exceptional service to Fayette County and surrounding areas.

WHY DO FUNERAL PREPLANNING – We have seen many grieving family members and friends making funeral arrangements for their loved ones, hoping to carry out their loved ones wishes. Some years ago, we had a close family member who had the foresight to do preplanning and we saw clearly how much easier it was for their survivors. The surviving family members had peace knowing that things were done according to her wishes. As a result we decided to preplan our funerals, thus taking that burden off our family. We met with Bee Huddleston of C. J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home of Fayetteville and learned that now is really the best time to make the arrangements, while we are both in good health and not dealing with strong, emotional feelings. Bee walked us through the process of selecting our coffins, vaults, and the many details of the visitation and funeral service. We now have peace of mind knowing that our surviving family will not have to make those decisions during their time of grieving and that our wishes will be carried out.
